Project background

A manufacturer upgrading an existing line needed a modernized controller that coordinated new conveyors, sensors, and actuators under a single program with safety interlocks and changeover support.

Challenge

Replacing legacy controls without extended downtime, supporting multiple product variants on the same line, and incorporating safety without crippling throughput.

Approach & solution

We engineered the control system with a structured program, parameterized recipes for variants, and a safety architecture validated to the applicable standards. A touchscreen HMI exposes run, diagnostics, and changeover flows. Commissioning was staged to minimize production impact.

Results & benefits

The line came online on schedule with safety functions validated and variant changeovers faster than before. Diagnostics via HMI reduced maintenance response time for common issues.
