Project background

A fleet operator wanted a retrofit driver-assistance package that delivered core SafeDrive functions — forward-collision warning, lane awareness, fatigue alerts — on existing vehicles without factory integration.

Challenge

Achieving usable accuracy across a range of vehicle types and windshields, integrating cleanly with vehicle CAN, and producing alerts that warned early without becoming background noise drivers would tune out.

Approach & solution

We designed a vision-plus-radar front sensor with an in-cabin alert unit tuned for urgency and clarity. Installation uses standardized brackets and a single harness. Alert thresholds adapt to driver behavior over time to maintain signal-to-noise.

Results & benefits

Fleet deployments showed reduced near-miss events after the first weeks of rollout. Driver acceptance stayed high because alerts remained meaningful rather than constant.
